Water Dog Charters, LLC., offers exciting charter fishing trips in Maine. Maine offers some of the best fishing in the entire country and Water Dog Charters specializes in charter trips through the Penobscot Bay. On our charter tours, you’ll have the chance to catch bluefish, mackerel, and striped bass. For both trips, we use a 21 foot Lund Alaskan which is powered by a 115 Evinrude E-TEC engine.

You’ll likely find striped bass within the Kennebec River. This charter typically runs about six hours long at $500.00 and is geared towards those looking for bigger catches. Children ten and up are welcome on this trip but three people total is optimum for the boat. To keep the striped bass, they are required to be at least 28 inches. You are limited to one striped bass per day, typically weighing in somewhere between 10 to 15 pounds. You can keep any other fish you might catch, regardless of size. You never know what you might catch on this charter which is half the fun!

The Penobscot Bay charter is the perfect fit for families looking to cruise down Maine’s coast, do some sightseeing, and catch a few mackerel. This charter typically runs about four hours long at $300.00. If you’re looking to take in the view while out on the water for a family vacation, this charter will meet your needs. This charter is ideal for families with children that fall between the ages of four and ten. We will provide life jackets and fishing gear but families are responsible for bringing any personal items such as a camera, rain jackets, sunscreen, hats, refreshments, etc.
