At VSCD, we know that a dire circumstance or troublesome diagnosis has led you to our hospital for specialty or emergency care. Our goal is to provide exemplary medicine to your special friend, while also supporting you and your primary veterinarian with answers, communication, and the most compassionate environment possible as we work together on diagnosis, treatment, and recovery.

Our main hospital in New Castle is located at 290 Churchmans Road in New Castle, Delaware, just behind the New Castle County Airport, where we see specialty appointments and provide state-of-the-art emergency and critical care services. We are ready to respond to your emergency needs 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Our satellite site is located at 1482 East Lebanon Road, Dover, Delaware (site of the Delmarva Animal Emergency Center). Specialists in internal medicine, ophthalmology, and surgery are available for consultations, rechecks, screenings, and limited diagnostics on Tuesdays and Thursdays, with major procedures and surgeries continuing to occur at the New Castle County location.
